He has been director of the Laboratory\u00a0of Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology (APC); deputy director of the National Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics of CNRS (IN2P3\/CNRS); chairman of the European Consortium of Astroparticle Physics (APPEC) and co-director of the Laboratory of Excellence UnivEarths at the interface of Geosciences and Astroparticle Physics. He is coordinating the group on Art and Science Univers 2.0 since 2017 and he is a member of the \u201cconseil d\u2019orien-tation\u201d of the domain \u201cArt Citoyen\u201d of Foundation Daniel and Nina Carasso.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Professore all\u2019Universit\u00e0 Paris Diderot, \u00e8 direttore dell\u2019Osservatorio Gravitazionale Europeo\u00a0(EGO) di Pisa che ospita l\u2019antenna per la rilevazione delle onde gravitazionali Virgo. Ha lavorato sulla fisica delle particelle e delle astroparticelle presso il CERN, il Fermilab, l\u2019Istituto del Gran Sasso e in Grecia. \u00c8 stato direttore del Laboratorio di Fisica e Cosmologia delle Astroparticelle (APC); vice-direttore dell\u2019Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare e delle Particelle del CNRS; presidente del Consorzio Europeo per la Fisica delle Astroparticelle (APPEC) e co-direttore del Laboratorio di Eccellenza UnivEarths presso l\u2019interfaccia di Geoscienze e Fisica delle Astroparti-celle dal 2014 al 2018.
